FAQ and tips for current members

Pay dues

Orchestra membership dues are $35/concert. Please add a note indicating ‘for dues’ in the form.

Can I show up to the first rehearsal of a new concert or do I need to register first?

Unfortunately, we cannot accept walk-ins. Even if you’ve played a past concert or have paid your dues for the entire year, you must still confirm your attendance for each concert you play with the Orchestra Personnel Manager.

The personnel manager reaches out to members through email prior to each concert for participation confirmation.

Where can I pay dues?

Membership dues are $35/concert or a reduced rate of $125/year.

You can pay your dues online here. Please add a note indicating “For dues” in the form.

If you prefer to pay in person, you can pay the GCCO Treasurer Anne Zavaglia by cash or check during rehearsal.

What is this season’s rehearsal schedule?

The rehearsal schedule is listed below.

What do I need to bring to rehearsal?

Please bring your designated music folder and a pencil (and your instrument, of course!) to take very light notes in your music during rehearsals.

When do I return the music?

Please leave your entire music folder with all of your music on your chair or in the bin in the storage room after each concert. It is very important that you do not take your music with you after the concert, as GCCO must pay fines for rented music that is returned late.

What is the concert dress?

Black pants/slacks/skirts and black shirts/blouses. Those wearing pants or slacks should be sure to wear black socks.

It’s a snow day. Is rehearsal cancelled?

All members will be emailed to confirm a cancelled rehearsal in the case of inclement weather, such as a Level 2 Snow Emergency.
